Fat bloom

Fat bloom is a thin white layer or spots on the surface of chocolate, which can be the result of incorrect storage of chocolate. The appearance is exactly the same as sugar bloom. Fat bloom occurs e.g. when the temperature changes, the fat that is found in cocoa butter becomes soft and settles on the outer layer. The bloom of fat is not harmful to health and the enjoyment of the chocolate is not affected.
