ICCO stands for the International Cocoa Organization. ICCO is a global organisation made up of member states that both produce and consume cocoa. It was founded in 1973 to implement the first International Cocoa Agreement negotiated in Geneva. The organisation determines, for example, which country may declare its cocoa as fine flavour cocoa and thus sell it at a significantly higher price than bulk cocoa.
