In the tropical climate near the equator, in the cocoa forests of the country of Peru in western South America, the ingredients for the fine cocoa chocolate 'Rausch Plantagen Peru 60 %' are grown. The high-quality fine flavour cocoa chocolate from there accounts for only 1.5 % of the world cocoa harvest and has its own, intensive aroma.

Adventurers beware: The gold of the gods is found

Even the Incas chose the southeast of Peru and built the terraced city of Machu Picchu in the mountainous country - widely surrounded by fine cocoa plantations. Pure coincidence? Not at all.

The cocoa bean, which is called the "food of the gods", has found its way from Peru to the whole world. Today the Peruvian cocoa bean is the main ingredient for our 'Rausch Plantagen Peru 60 %'.

This is how South America tastes

At the foot of the Peruvian Andean highlands, we find cocoa in its natural state: the tropical climate of the equatorial belt produces a very special cocoa bean of its own. Each has its own unmistakable character and a strong regional accent in taste, appearance and smell.

The deep chocolate scent will be the first thing you will notice of our Peruvian chocolate. Only dark fine flavour cocoa chocolate in its purest form of cocoa and cane sugar can do this. Slight acidity and a natural hint of vanilla - this is what characterises fine flavour cocoa chocolate from Peru, which melts on the tongue from the first bite. The 'Rausch Plantagen Peru 60 %' is soft but at the same time bitterly fruity. Direct taste, which does not distract from the essential by unnecessary additives: the gold of Peru.

Generations of small farmers cultivate the colourful and playful fruits of the cacao tree in sustainable cultivation. Sensitivity is required here: good, ripe cocoa has its own sound. We enable farmers to devote their leisure time completely to the cocoa plant through optimal conditions on site.

From the heart of Peru

The green thicket roams through the machetes of the farmers, who free the precious fine flavour cocoa chocolate beans from the original forests of Cusco. The fine flavour cocoa chocolate beans from there make up only 1.5% of the world cocoa harvest - a select natural product.

We accompany the fine flavour cocoa chocolate beans from their cradle in Latin America to our chocolate factory. In keeping with our "Tree to Door" approach, we do without any middlemen. In this way we maintain the high quality of the beans - and they can taste that. We bring traditional recipes to life with genuine craftsmanship.
