Even the Incas chose the southeast of Peru and built the terraced city of Machu Picchu in the mountainous country - widely surrounded by fine cocoa plantations. Pure coincidence? Not at all.

At the foot of the Peruvian Andean highlands, we find cocoa in its natural state: the tropical climate of the equatorial belt produces a very special cocoa bean of its own. Each has its own unmistakable character and a strong regional accent in taste, appearance and smell.

 

 

 

The deep chocolate scent will be the first thing you will notice of our Peruvian Plantagen-Schokolade. Only dark fine cocoa chocolate in its purest form of cocoa and cane sugar can do this. Slight acidity and a natural hint of vanilla - this is what characterises fine flavour cocoa chocolate from Peru, which melts on the tongue from the first bite. Generations of small farmers cultivate the colourful and playful fruits of the cacao tree in sustainable cultivation. Sensitivity is required here: good, ripe cocoa has its own sound. We enable farmers to devote their leisure time completely to the cocoa plant through optimal conditions on site.
